BUILDING your WEALTH
At any point in our lives, you and I have a specific ‘mix’ of resources making up our wealth. We have ‘created’ that mix but what if for some reason or other there isn’t ‘enough’? Sometimes we need more, or we have the ‘wrong’ resources.
If you have read Marisa Peer’s book ‘I Am Enough’ or participated in her programme of the same name, then you’ll have an understanding that whatever stage you are at in your life you are ‘enough’ and you have ‘enough’. But, that doesn’t mean ‘it’s all over’. You are where you are – today – and there is always an option ro be more even though now you are ‘enough’.
It takes a little getting your head around but is an extremely useful concept. We will have a link to Marisa’s programme in the Academy in due course.
You have a vision, you have goals, you have a plan, but you find yourself short on the ‘wealth’ you need to achieve it. You need to ‘build’ your wealth, you need more.
Most people go down the track of “I can’t do this, I need more money”, but it’s only sometimes about money and we’ll cover that specifically in the next module. This is about building wealth. When we create our wealth, our mix of resources, we may find we are ‘short’ on one or more of those we need – so we need to know on which resources we should focus our attention. What specific resources do we need to build up?
Of course, that will depend on the vision, goal or objective you’re looking to achieve. Do you need to work on your knowledge and understanding to gai a qualification? Do you need to find opportunities of any sort? Go back over the types of resource and pick out the key things you need to build, to grow, to improve or find so you can build your overall wealth to where it needs to be to achieve the target you are aiming at.
This is not about ‘building wealth’ just to get ‘more’ for no specific purpose because, believe me, it won’t happen. The Universe doesn’t work like that and even if you could build your wealth randomly you wouldn’t ne able to maintain it.
