Part 4 – Self Management & Habits

What do you do every day, every week, or every month? In the next module you’re going to create a ‘personal operating system’ describing these things but before you do that, it’s important to observe and understand what you do now and ensure it’s consistent with the transformation you’re setting about.

There are two parts to this, understanding your ‘habits, and learning to manage, order and control them. To help you we’ve created a Habits Worksheet’ in the Resources section. Over the next days and weeks, you need to ‘make a habit’ to ‘notice what you’re noticing’ about all the things you do. From when you get out of bed in the morning to when you get back in at night. What are the ‘little things’ you do regardless of whatever else you are doing every day? What order do you do them in? At what time of day? In what way? and so on.

Then take a look at these habits. Are any of them restricting your freedom in any way – preventing you from doing something else? Do you have fixed times at which you do things? Is it ‘important’ to you to watch certain TV shows? Do you always follow the same routes at the same time, whether that be in your house, your locality, or ‘on the road’? ‘Little’ things like these may be impeding your freedom.

Conversely are there any things you’re not doing which may be having an impact? Do you have a reading habit? Do you drink enough water? Do you mute the TV or radio when the ads come on? This is all part of getting yourself organised ready for your transformation. Please do request a coaching session on this if you’re having any difficulty with it.
