The Money Paradigm
Part 4 – Problems with Money

It’s surprising the number of people who have a ‘built in problem with money – or maybe not. Were you ever told as a child “money doesn’t grow on trees”, “we’re not made of money” or just “we can’t afford it” and not forgetting “money is the root of all evil” and “rich people are all bad” or some variant of these sayings? We are conditioned as children to believe money is a ‘problem’ and we often witnessed our parents arguing over money to reinforce it.
Perhaps this is why most personal development programmes have a focus on ‘making money’, ‘becoming a millionaire’ (or now billionaire) or just ‘getting rich’. Much of this comes from the post-depression era in the USA when everyone’s main focus was on getting hold of enough to survive – let alone get rich, quick or otherwise.
We have ended up with a love-hate relationship with money and the concept of money, largely because, up until now, we have never really understood what money really is (or isn’t) and what it is ‘for.
You and I have some sort of ‘money paradigm’, some sort of structured belief about money, sometimes negative, sometimes positive, sometimes both. No wonder the world has a problem with money! But once we understand what money really is and the difference between money, wealth and finance, things become clearer.
Limiting beliefs about money and ‘money blocks’ are very common. Very few people don’t have one, even those who have more money than they know what to do with. Some of the most common are “money makes you a bad person”, “I can’t earn more than by Dad did”, “having money is dangerous, I might be robbed or killed” and “I don’t deserve to have money”.
Very often we don’t realise we actually have these limiting beliefs until they are disclosed through techniques or therapies like RTT which can reveal whether this has come from a childhood atmosphere or incident and ‘take out’ that bit of our neural programming. Soul Realignment can do the same to remove something like a Vow of Poverty taken in a past life – yes it does happen. Ho’oponopono can clean out the unremembered memories and paradigms about money.
These are all very well but just removing the blocks is only part of the process, we need to rebuild our attitudes as well which is where learning about the realities of wealth, finance and freedom of resource comes in together with understanding the future of money because things are already changing, and we need to be in a position to take advantage of what happens next.
