7 Pillars of Freedom
Part 5 – The Way

Knowing, understanding, our ‘Way’ is fundamental to life mastery and personal freedom, but what is this ‘Way’?
Jesus of Nazareth reportedly said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Light” but what most people understood, or were given to understand, by this statement was that – therefore they should ‘follow’ him. In fact he was not saying this but talking about himself with the emphasis on ‘I’.
Joe Vitale in his book ‘Zero Limits’ about the Hawaiian technique of Ho’oponopono, explains more about the ‘I’ or the One relating back to the concept of the Universe as a single entity – ‘only one of us’. Jesus’ statement refers to the ‘I’ in this sense recognising the idea of ‘only one of us’ – you, me and everyone else in the Universe are this ‘one’, this ‘I’. But what about the Way?
There is a collective Way but as we have seen we are all individuated so there is ‘the’ Way – the Way of the ‘great link’ or Matrix but there is also ‘our’ Way, our individual Way, your Way, my Way (remember the song?).
Our Way, always capitalised, is a combination (as in the song) of all the things we ‘do’, and have done, in all four domains of life. Our Way is made up of our dreams, our purposes, and the goals, plans, objectives and actions which contribute to them.
You or I may have one overriding purpose in life or we may have many, you and I will have multiple dreams or visions of what we want to be, do and have at different stages in our lives and we will set a multitude of goals, some of which we may have no idea how to achieve (Bob Proctor calls these ‘C’ goals) and others (‘B’ goals) we know roughly how to reach, and ‘A’ goals where we know exactly what to do. Goals break down into plans with targets and objectives and then the actions we need to take to achieve them.
All of this adds up to our Way but it’s more than this mechanistic ‘project management’ breakdown. Our Way encompasses not just what we wish for ourselves but understanding and comprehension of who we really are, what we really are (the Truth) and ‘where’ or in which direction we are ‘going at any point in the sequence of events which make up our life on this planet (the Light).
Within our Way we may undertake many journeys and follow many paths. Journeys are the routes to realising our dreams or visions and our ultimate purposes. Paths are the roads to achieving our goals. Each have alternatives and each have destinations, our Way however does not have a clear ‘destination’, it’s just our Way, part of the Way, part of building the collective consciousness of the Universe itself.
